About Me
I am originally from Columbus, OH and I attended the University of Toledo where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. I went on to pursue science at the graduate level at Michigan State University where I received my Master of Science degree in Forensic Biology. After college, I went on to teach and develop courses at Michigan State in both the forensic and biology fields. I then moved to Raleigh, North Carolina to work as a Forensic DNA Analyst at a private crime lab. Now, I teach high school science at Independence High School in Charlotte, NC. I have taught Earth and Environmental Science, Biology, and Forensic Science. I am also a Science Olympiad coach and lead a geocaching group within the school.
